on the Quay Goes Out With a Bang
Poole Quay was packed last Thursday (22 Aug 2002)
on the Quay which culminated in a fantastic fireworks finale.
Entertainment included the Quayside Cloggies, Hobo Morris, Jonathan
the Jester and Beyond Belief rock band. Anne Simpson, special events
manager for Poole Tourism said, ''Last Thursday's event was just perfect.
The weather, the crowds, the music the whole atmosphere was brilliant
and summed up what we want the event to be about. We estimate that
between 10-15,000 people came down to the Quay.
